Home Health Compare datasets

These are the official datasets used on the Medicare.gov Home Health Compare Website provided by the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services.  These data allow you to compare the quality of care provided by Medicare-certified home health agencies throughout the nation.

Home Health Compare data was last updated on Oct 30, 2019.

Announcements:

  • Beginning with the October 2019 Home Health Compare refresh, the downloadable database will include data for the Potentially Preventable 30-Day Post-Discharge Readmissions measure adopted for the Home Health (HH) Quality Reporting Program (QRP).
  • Beginning with the January 2019 Home Health Compare refresh, the downloadable database will be provided in .csv format only. We will no longer post the Access format.
  • Beginning with Q1 2017, home health agencies have a 4 ½ month “review and correct” period following the end of a quarter to review their quality measure data and assure their submitted data is accurate. Any new, modified or inactivated assessments must be submitted prior to the data correction deadline for the quarter (Q1/August 15th, Q2/November 15th, Q3/February 15th, and Q4/May 15th) in order to be included in public reporting.
